Bereavement

Family therapy and adolescent individual therapy for family homes struggling with both normal adolescent difficulties and more extreme acting out behavior such as running away, truancy, substance addiction, incarceration. For the past eight years I have been working with adolescents and their families as they go through severe stressors such as substance addiction, incarceration, divorce, and acting out behaviors done by teenagers. I have a non-judgemental approach to working with teenagers to help them understand how to better control their thoughts, emotions, and thus behaviors. I am easy to relate to  making me a strong candidate for you to consider if you have concerns about your child, children, or family being able to connect meaningfully to a provider.

Training in cognitive-behavioral interventions and evidenced based programs such as Reducing Anger in Adolescents REBT Approach, Seeking Safety a dual diagnosis program for substance addiction and trauma, and DTQI which is a depression program for children and adolescents. I have been trained by the Beck Institute in cognitive behavioral therapy and supervised other clinicians in this theory of practice.
